Mulching

What is Forestry Mulching?

Forestry mulching is a land clearing method that uses specialized forestry mulcher equipment to clear vegetation, small trees, and brush while simultaneously mulching the debris into fine wood chips. Forestry mulching is an efficient and practical alternative to more hazardous land clearing methods like bulldozing, burning, toxic chemicals, or chainsawing.

Forestry mulching is commonly used in residential and commercial applications to clear land for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Building site preparation

  • Property access (right of way clearing, trails, driveways, etc)

  • Erosion control

  • Pest mitigation

Forestry mulching is done using state-of-the-art forestry mulcher equipment, typically a skid steer machine with a heavy-duty mulching attachment. This attachment features a rotating drum with carbide steel teeth that quickly grinds down vegetation, brush, and small trees into a fine mulch.

The resulting mulch (biomass) not only looks great, but provides superior erosion protection for your land. Over time, the material slowly decomposes to return nutrients back into the soil.
